AMCF Triathlon Event Recap

Dallas Market Hall witnessed a clash of titans on Saturday, April 5th, as the Dallas Mythics stormed the Champion’s Edge Triathlon duels at the Better Bodies Expo! Surrounded by the fittest folks in town, our warriors proved that strength and skill come in many forms, leaving no doubt that we’re a force to be reckoned with.

Our girls brought home some serious hardware, proving that deeds, not words, define us. A massive congratulations to Elyce, who snagged silver in Sword & Shield, bronze in the grueling new AMCF triathlon event, and topped it off with a decisive victory in her pro fight against the formidable Beth Hammer. Alex showed her grit with a bronze in Sword & Shield, and Katie’s longsword prowess earned her a well-deserved bronze as well.

It wasn’t just about the medals, though. We had a blast connecting with fellow athletes and high-fiving our buddies from Ninheim Viking Fight School out of Fort Worth. The camaraderie and shared passion for combat sports made for an unforgettable day.

A special shoutout to Beth Hammer, who traveled all the way from Seattle, and Shoshana Shellens, who journeyed from Colorado, to test their mettle against our warriors. Your dedication and skill are truly inspiring!

And let’s not forget the incredible support team who made it all possible! A huge thank you to Kayla for holding down the AMCF t-shirt sales booth like a boss, Lauryn for keeping the whole event running smoothly, and Laura for stepping up as a counter. And a huge shoutout to Shanna, who not only helped run the event but also cornered for the competing Mythics!

The Dallas Mythics continue to push the boundaries of armored combat, proving that women belong on the battlefield. We’re already looking forward to our next challenge!
