We’re a passionate group of warriors dedicated to the art of medieval armored combat. We train hard, fight harder, and support each other every step of the way. Whether you’re a seasoned fighter or just starting your buhurt journey, we welcome you with open arms!
Practice with Us
Ready to unleash your inner warrior? Join us for our weekly practices!
We train at the Lone Star Combat Academy at 940 N Beltline Rd. Suite 125 Irving TX 75061. Don’t worry if you don’t have your own armor yet – we can provide loaner gear to get you started!
Melees
Train for the chaos of full-scale team battles where the last fighters left standing claim the field.
- Tuesdays: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Saturdays: 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Profights & grappling Basics
Build your striking, grappling, and throwing game. Looking to get into Armored MMA? Start here.
- Thursdays: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Duels
Sharpen your skills in one-on-one combat with longsword, sword and shield, and sword and buckler.
- Mondays: 6:15 PM – 8:00 PM
Due to our sporadic competition schedule, please message us on Facebook before dropping by to ensure we’re not out of town.
What to Bring
Just bring yourself, your enthusiasm, and a few essentials:
- Athletic clothing: Comfortable workout attire. Closed toed shoes and long pants are required for armor days!
- Groin protection: Safety first!
- A willingness to learn: We’ll teach you everything you need to know, from basic footwork to advanced combat techniques.
